The IDB's Environmental and Social Performance Standard (ESPS) 6 recognizes that protecting and conserving biodiversity, maintaining ecosystem services, and sustainably managing living natural resources are fundamental to sustainable development. In this course we invite you to get to know the standard and to identify how to apply its requirements for development projects. We hope you enjoy learning.

Minimum technical requirements to be met by the participant:

- Be an advanced internet user, able to find documents, access videos, and download documents
- Software for viewing and downloading pdf documents.
- Have a reliable internet connection.
- Own and manage a personal email account.
- Have notions of environmental management and biodiversity.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
