The course How does citizen participation contribute to government climate agendas? demonstrates that climate actions are greatly enhanced when effective links are established between the different actors of development and consideration is given to the criteria of accessibility, sustainability, relevance, gender equality and social equity.

ESTRUCTURA DEL CURSO
In this module, participants will understand that engaging in climate change actions at the information level requires making environmental data and references available to the public, and collecting information that is relevant for development decision-making.
In this module, participants will identify the benefits of public consultations with relevant individuals and/or stakeholders in order to incorporate relevant inputs into a country’s climate initiative.
In this module, participants will realize the importance of contributing to climate agenda implementation by generating knowledge products and strengthening the region's human capital with inputs from various development actors.
In this module, participants will analyze the relevance of promoting funding to civil society organizations (CSOs) for the implementation of a project or component of a climate project in cases where funding visibly contributes to improving its effectiveness.
