ABOUT THIS COURSE

The Course on the Environmental and Social Performance Standard 7 offers you the opportunity to learn about the thew standard on Indigenous Peoples. Through readings, audiovisual materials, and tests, you will be able to Analyze the criteria for the application of the Environmental and Social Performance Standard 7: Indigenous Peoples (ESPS 7), as a tool to ensure that IDB projects: Respect the human rights, dignity, aspirations, and culture of Indigenous Peoples; avoid, minimize, or compensate for adverse impacts on their environment; and promote sustainable development opportunities that are consistent with their culture. 

 

AUDIENCE OF THE COURSE

Minimum technical requirements that the participant must meet:
- Be an advanced Internet user capable of performing searches, accessing videos, downloading documents, etc.
- Manage a personal email account to receive notifications and be informed of the course news.  
- Software for viewing and downloading PDF documents.
- Having a suitable internet connection.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
