Common challenges, shared goals: The importance of a regional agenda for the consolidation of RedCUIDAR+

Care policies for people experiencing care needs are a priority for the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as for the countries of the European Union. Many countries in the region have advanced in recent years in the construction of comprehensive care systems, assumed as a pillar of national social protection systems. Others have been advancing in the conceptualization of the policy, while at the same time they have been strengthening a set of services for people experiencing care needs, especially those with fewer resources. The RedCUIDAR+ was created to assist countries with the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and mutual support.

This VI meeting had the objective of:

• share views and advances in care policies by each member country of the Network;

• analyse the common challenges and outline a set of issues considered priority and strategic by the participants;

• build an Agenda for future work as part of the Network

The Meeting was held face-to-face and virtually from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
